Getting a lover back into our life is something that will appear in our mind for no reasons even though the break up may have happened long time ago. This is true when we still have strong feelings towards our ex despite the break up. Once you've found them the next step is to contact them which may be awkward due to long period no contact. Anyway, the worst is they give you a cold shoulder or don't show any interest to hear from you again. You need to test the response before ruling out the possibility.You can start by a friendly call to ask how they are and say you happened to see some old pictures and you wanted to know how they are doing.
Another way is by giving card or hand written note to send your greetings. Try to avoid email as it may get lost in their junk mail where they dun get to see it. This will give wrong impression to you that they are not interested to see you when they fail to respond.
Their response will give you some indication of their interest. If they seem very happy to hear from you, then you can suggest a get together for lunch or coffee.
