20 Signs You’re Still In Love With Your Ex

They say everything happens for a reason. These people who usually say this are women, and these women are usually sorting through a break- up. It seems that men can get in and out of the relationship without even saying goodbye, but apparently for women, its either they get married or learn something. Some women cannot help but rush from confused to Confucius. It seems that the search for lessons help lessen the pain. But in order to learn your lessons from your heartache you need to be aware of your emotional state. Yesterday, I posted a blog about knowing if your ex is over you or not.

Today, it’s your turn. Let me share with you my experience. It was a long time ago, but I really valued the lessons I learned from it. I just got out from a two- year relationship two months ago, I thought I had everything under control. I thought I was over him, until I bumped into him on the street with his new girlfriend. It felt like my heart and my lungs stopped functioning all at the same time. I was stunned and end- up crying my heart out. It was such a shocking experience because I thought I was really done and totally over him, but it turned- out that I was not.

I was just masking my pain and making myself believe that I am over him. It helps to really know if you are still in love with your ex or not. This will not only help you move on, but let you learn the lessons that you need to learn. Here are some signs that you are still in love with your ex.

1. Getting your ex back is the first and last thing that comes to your mind.

2. You fantasize about him.

3. You’re still in love when every time the phone rings you silently hope that it’s him.

4. Every time there is a text message you secretly hope that it’s him.

5. You check your e-mail secretly hoping he sent you a “lets get together” message.

6. You always check his Facebook account.

7. You secretly follow him on Twitter.

8. You “google” him.

9. You still read his horoscope.

10. You’re still in love with him when instead of taking the most direct route on your way to work; you choose the long way just to pass by his house.

11. You’re still in love with him when you feel that your birthday was the worst birthday ever because you haven’t heard from him.

12. You count down until it’s his mother’s birthday.

13. You could’ve sworn you saw him again today on the street.

14. His scent still lingers in your apartment.

Time really does heal most wounds and eventually the haze disappears and you will suddenly realize that you are gloriously and wonderfully over him. And ultimately learn the most valuable lesson in life is that what cannot kill you can only make you stronger.
